January mini-post

Here are the only pics I took  in January.  A couple from the very beginning and a couple from the very end.

This was New Year's.  We took C bowling for the first time w/a few friends.  He LOVED it.  3.5 was the perfect age to try it out.  He didn't run off, he was interested for the whole game (we only played one), and he loved bowling.

 This is the cool thing they have for the little ones to get speed going down the lane.  It is so cool.  With this and the bumpers the kids can do really well.



The newest craze in our house since Saturday is puppy Bingo.  I had bought this for when we kept my nephew for the weekend (when he was 5, 5 years ago).  I decide to teach C how to play this weekend.  He loves it!  He begged daddy to play with him before school, and before Scott headed to work.

tonight while I worked on some centerpieces for my mom's group social this weekend, C and daddy played with play-dough.  They made a whole meal.  C was so into it.  He was so excited.  They made spaghetti and meatballs, pepperoni and sausage pizza, and blueberry pie.  It was so cute. 



Dry spell update

I feel like January has been a blah months...but aren't all January's?  We had some fun New Year's Eve (though that's technically December), but since then things have been low key.  We are still looking for a house to move into in St. Louis as Scott starts his job there next week.  C and I will stay here (since we have our rental house until April), so he can go to preschool, and I can keep doing normal things.  We have a contract on a house, but it's a short sale.  We aren't 100% sure it will go through, but we have a close date of March 12 if all goes well.

In other exciting news, Sarah, Scott's sister had a precious baby girl last weekend.  We happened to be in town looking at houses.  She was 2 weeks early!!  I guess she wanted to make sure she saw her cousin immediately. Grace Elizabeth Godsey was born late Friday night.  She is a cutie!  Colin thought she was pretty cool except when she cried.  He said it made him nervous.  Hah!  I guess he's not around many babies.
