Family Weekend Activity: Just Dance

Last night in St. Louis Scott's sister, Sarah, and her husband, Mitch, came over to join us for dinner (I guess actually we were with them for most of the meals, but anyhoo). After a late dinner we decided to head to the basement to check out a couple of new Wii games his mom had bought.  C was still awake (enjoying his later "vacation" bed time.  He entertained himself watching us and playing with toys while we entertained ourselves with the game Just Dance.  It was so much fun and hilarious to watch!  The game had all original artists performing the songs, so it was fun music for the most part. We snapped tons of photos.  After dancing to two songs I was seriously sweating.  We played the game until almost midnight.  Well 4 of us made it that long.  Scott and his mom quit early to tend to sore knees.  Scott's dad wanted to make sure we got through every song.  There are a lot of songs/routines.  Basically the point of the game is to mimic the dancer on the screen as close as possible.  Obviously all that really counts is your one hand (since it is a Wii game), but the more you get into it, the more fun it is.  Sarah and I tried to do all difficult songs.  We eventually had a tournament as well.  Sarah was the big winner.  Big Don was second place I think--or maybe Mitch I forget. Now for your amusement. We dance. Some pics are included just for the great faces portrayed.

One of them is obviously doing the wrong move.  One guess: Scott.  He rarely followed the dance moves b/c the sensors weren't that good at giving you points when you were in fact doing the right moves (fun anyways--but frustrating at times).  So Scott just gave it all he had every time he danced.

I've started to sweat.  We are seriously intense here.

group dance to "Groove is in the Heart"

the guys were being annoying--what's new!

Then C wanted to dance.  He chose "I Like to Move it Move it"

He pretty much stood still and let Scott throw around his arm.

We have Just Dance and Just Dance for Kids (the songs are kind of annoying at times). I just had to mention that Dylan's favorite is I Like To Move It, Move It... since that's what Colin picked. Dylan loves the kids one because he wins sometimes! :) Glad you made it to STL and got a workout in as well! :)
