Instead of being snowed in, I think I'm officially swelled in. The doctor told me today I basically can't go anywhere. I'm not even sure he wants me going as far as St. Louis. I had a huge weight gain in the last two weeks, and it's all water weight, and I've got 8 weeks to go in hot weather. My blood pressure remains good, but he says swelling this early is not a good sign and funny things tend to happen. He wasn't alarmist about it, but definitely cautionary. So I'm looking forward to school getting out and putting my feet up I guess. Not much else I can do. If you've ever been one of the lucky ones to swell you know how uncomfortable it is. My hands are constantly stiff. I wake up and can barely work them. My feet barely fit in any shoes, and the more I have to stand the bigger they get. Scott calls me club foot. Isn't he sweet.

Swelled in! Warning: these pictures might be alarming. They most definitely aren't flattering.

Those pictures bring back memories of my own "cankles" during my pregnancy... my hands didn't swell as much as yours, but my ankles were definitely as big! Hang in there... I can testify that your ankles and hands will return to you after little Dankel arrives!
Oh, Gina!!! You poor girl!!! I never had any swelling, but you look so uncomfortable!!! Drink a lot of water, it's really supposed to help! All of this will be worth it in the end, I promise you that! When you meet your son, you'll know!
