I'm no expert on blogging, so all of this is a phenomenon to me. Evidently you can play games across blogs. I've been "tagged" by my friend Deb, so I'm supposed to list seven things about myself that people probably don't know. Hmm...this could be hard. I don't conceal much that's interesting.
1. I took a poop in a display toilet in Montgomery Ward when I was about 4 years old. My mom wouldn't take me to the bathroom b/c she was in line at customer service. She told me to go alone. I went all right. I went straight to the demo toilets. It was the 80s, these stores had those round display set ups, so it was pretty private and in the back of the store. The "bathroom" I selected had a rug, a toilet, a sink, a toilet cover (those rug like things), and toilet paper. How did I know it wouldn't flush and wasn't connected to any plumbing? I went to my mom, told her what I had done (and where). Humiliated she told the guy at customer service and we got out of there as fast as possible.
2. When I was 6 or so my eyes turned from blue to green. I prayed to God constantly that my eyes would turn back. I just knew no one would love me if I wasn't the blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl anymore.
3. I changed my mind about my career/major at least 6 times in 2.5 years of college.
4. I absolutely did not want to date Scott Dankel. I thought he was funny, but way too over the top and crude. I thought he was embarrassing. I finally went out with him b/c he went out with someone else (how junior high, I know). I proceeded to break up with him 3 times. One time we got back together, and I broke up with him within an hour. We finally got back together six months later, and have been together ever since.
5. I once went to audition for the Mickey Mouse club, but chickened out prior to the audition. I saw the competition and knew I didn't need to be there. Interestingly enough, I think the show only lasted one more year or so.
6. I participated in a New Kids on the Block lip synch competition with 2 friends at a mall over 2 hours away from the house. How did we convince my friend's dad to take us there? I have no idea. We performed to "My Cover Girl." There were three of us. The two girls on the outside of our formation wore black shorts and a white t-shirt, and the girl in the middle wore...you guessed it...white shorts and a black t-shirt. How creative were we?!? Needless to say we didn't win. Four high school boys won first place and front row tickets to the concert.
7. I was a serious prankster in high school. My friends and I had an elaborate system of pranking people and leaving our calling card: The Four Stooges. No one knew who we were, and lots of other girls got blamed by a bunch of football and baseball players for our pranks. We finally had to send the guys a hint to give ourselves away at the very end of the year.
Now I need to tag someone...Becca and Stephanie.
