My own personal heater

I got so hot in my classroom today I thought I would pass out. I think my partner and all my students shared that thought. We busted out the box fans and they were all like "go sit by the fan," "let Mr. Ware take over for a little while." That's exactly what I did, and I felt much better. I was actually starting to break out into a sweat. That's one of the great things about having a partner...I was able to go take a short break and get my thermostat under control. In a funny sort of related story...a pregnant woman was not the one to pass out in class today. A teaching intern passed out while presenting his very first lesson. I thought I was hot--he must have been burning up. I heard about it after school. It was evidently hot in the room (like ours), and he was setting up his lesson for the kids, and bam--he fell right over. It made me feel a little better for myself, but how embarrassing for that guy.

Man, I thought that post was going to be more about being hot when preggers cause geez I can relate... poor guy!

That story reminds me of when I was first pregnant with Cora and had awful "morning" sickness. I was helping teach summer school at Roosevelt HS downtown, which had no AC. It was awful!
